Possible staph infection/UTI and flaky skin on the scrotum

Hi all.

For the past several days I've had what I believe to be a staph infection/UTI (docs open in a few days can get antibiotics then), that has probably spread to the kidneys and the scrotum, hence the red tender apparence.

Alongside this I also have dry... gross flaky elephant skin on the scrotum (peeling), is this something I should be extra concerned about or is it just eczema from the infection?

Also is the actual UTI harmful if left untreated, I just need to know your opinions because this is starting to concern me... thanks.

If you have a staph infection, which is unlikely, but if you do, yes, it's serious.  If you have a UTI it can go away on its own if its minor and your immune system is able to handle it but if it sticks around and gets worse then of course yes it also can be serious.  Again unlikely it's gotten into your kidneys or your scrotum if it's a UTI, but even more obviously if you have a kidney infection that is also very serious.  Now, since you're self-diagnosing, you haven't the vaguest idea what's going on so of course you need to see the doctor to find out.  If you are seriously having kidney problems and a staph infection and you really truly believe that any reason you're not typing this from the ER?
