Testicular pain no infection

Hi all
I am a 29 year old and i have been suffering from testicular pain for the past 3 months.it feels like somebody is tugging at my epididymis and the pain radiates up to my stomach and down to my knee. these symptoms only happen on the left side but the testicular pain is in both testicles but never both at the same time, it will swap throughout the day, usually a few hours on each side but it is constantly there.

i went to my GP who said it was epididymitis and gave me Cipro for a week. this did not help so i had an ultrasound and CT scan which showed nothing. bloods and urinalysis STD checks all fine. the pain got so bad one day my partner had to call an ambulance and i spent 4 days in hospital. they also performed a bilateral testicular fix as they said i may have intermittent twisting. None of this has helped the Urologists now say there is nothing they can do and i just have to live with it (their exact words).

since this started i have had 5 courses of antibiotics (Cipro and Doxy), various anti inflammatory (naproxen, diclofenac, ibuprofen) and i have constantly been taking tramadol (up to 400mg per day). it is so bad I cannot work or even sit in a car while my partner drives me to each appointment.

I am currently waiting for an MRI scan which will probably show nothing again i just find it hard to believe that the NHS can leave me like this and say there is nothing they can do. I am a self employed personal trainer so my finances have taken a massive hit  and i can't even help my partner with our young children.
I suppose i am just wondering if anyone else has had anything like this and what it may be as my GP and the Urologists just say there is nothing they can do.

any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for listening

Have you been checked or diagnosed with vericocele veins? This could explain the pain. If your having pain in your stomach and leg as well you could be experiencing what I have which is May-Thurner Syndrome. This can cause pelvic congestion and pain in both testicles. If you do have vericocele veins I would go to an Interventional Radiologist and get checked for May-Thurner.
