Hello everyone!
Glad to be a part of this large community and to be able to share my issue with someone.
In short, I recently turned 30 and I suffer from erectile dysfunction.
Everything started in 2020 when the pandemic hit us all. As you all know, it was a time of anxiety and uncertainty. On top of that, I had a job that was also stressing me out. I know that, back then, the issue was in my head (stress + anxiety). Fortunately, the issue would be there for a few weeks, and then everything would be fine for a few weeks, so in a way, I learned to live like this.
This year, already in January, as the pandemic seemingly came to an end, and as I have quit my job, things started getting better because I also started to feel better. The issue was still there, but when I was with a woman, there wouldn't be any issues. That "good" period lasted from January to July.
A month ago, I met with an old female friend. We've been together for a few days and nights. The first night was perfect, no issues at all.
During the second night, as we made love, at one moment my penis didn't enter properly and I heard a cracking sound. I was afraid that a penile fracture occured, but there was no pain, no change in color, no blood afterwards in semen or urine. However, during the next couple of minutes my erection got very weak.
The next day I was unable to get a proper erection. Not even hard enough to put a condom on.
Is it possible that a tiny penile fracture happens, small enough to (almost) not have any symptoms, but big enough to cause poor blood flow?
During the next ten days, after the "fracture", my penis was very soft, as if there was no blood in it. Also sometimes it appeared pale. Maybe this was also just in my head. Erections we're almost non-existent, but probably also because of additional stress that I have caused to myself.
I'd like to mention also that last year I started using a prostate massager. I didn't use is too often, maybe 1-2x per month, but I was afraid that I damaged my prostate somehow.
Also, I'm physically very active. Going to the gym and doing a few other sports in free time. My diet is also healthy - no fast or junk food at all, no alcohol, cigarettes, etc. I'm mentioning this because I know that an unhealthy lifestyle can cause ED, but fortunately my lifestyle is not an issue here.
A few days ago, I visited an urologist and told him everything. He conducted an ultrasound exam of the penis and the prostate. He said that there is no damage, that everything is in perfect condition and that everything is most likely only in my head.
He conducted an abdominal exam of the prostate, not a rectal one. Also, he didn't examine my prostate with his finger. I'm thinking about visiting another urologist who will conduct a rectal ultrasound, but I wanted to ask whether this is necessary?
So, now I'm here to hear someone else's opinion and to know what to do next. I've been trying to relax and calm down during the last few days. My erection is better I'd say, but far from being good enough to have intercourse with another person.
By the way, is it even normal to have this issue at the age of 30?
Thanks!
