What is this lump on the shaft of my penis?

I have a lump on the shaft of my penis near the bottom. It is visibly protruding out and is hard upon touch. It feels like there is a long thin root attached to it under the skin. It started out small but got bigger because I tried to squeeze it like a pimple. The rooot like thing attached under the skin can move around and seems that have gotten bigger over time as well. I first noticed this lump about 6 weeks ago and seems I have only made it worse. I have been putting tea tree oil on it and it appears to look better on the surface but not under the skin. Is this a cyst, and std, or something more serious? Not that an std is not serious but I mean cancerous. I have had unprotected sex recently but new my partners well, but it is possible they did not know if they had something as well. Can anyone take a guess as to what it is and what i need to do to get ride of it?

It's difficult to diagnose something like this by a description on the internet. You should schedule an appointment with your doctor or dermatologist and get it taken care of properly.
