does anybody have these symptoms?

Yeah so I've been experiencing testicle discomfort and a dragging sort of sensation for on and off months now. It will usually feel ok in the morning but not always. Alcohol consumption seems to make the testicles feel worse. It affects my right testicle and sometimes left testicle. I sometimes will have a very loose scrotum which feels pretty good, but other times my scrotum is really tight to where it disappears sort of. I don't think this is normal because I'm used to a medium scrotum feel where it isn't too loose or retracted. I associate weight lifting with this because when I strain when I do certain exercises, I get this feeling like a chord or the testicle is being sucked in and it later will hurt my testicles and sometimes last for days. But the most annoying issue is when I feel a sort of vein or something on the bottom or top of the testicle( either left or right, lately it has been the right) sometimes along the side or behind and will appear than disappear later. I believe I could be experiencing epididymitis but I do not have any STD's for sure because I got tested. So when my scrotum and testicles hang loose almost too loose I will sometimes barely feel a little vein or something along the side or back, but if I sit down for a while, out of nowhere it will feel like dull dragging annoyance. And then I will feel like seems like a vein or something on the bottom of the testicle which seems to disappear later. Sometimes the discomfort makes is so distracting that i feel like my testicles are shrinking, or being choked. I've been to the doctor, they tell me it's nothing and sometimes fluids will go to the testicle but the doctor didn't have much time  to examine me and it was only once. I waiting to get the ultrasound results back, but the women who did it said she didn't see anything wrong. no hernia, no varicocele. what is this?

thanks,
for some reason i think im not ready to accept the diagnosis of varicocele, and the ultrasound tech picked up on it, and she may have overlooked it. i'm a little scared (hate to admit it) that they will tell me that i have this, because this is something that will affect me for the rest of my life, and possibly my testosterone levels. a few days ago i had that loose scrotum where my testicles were hanging low, and then i went out drank some beers socially, went to bed, woke up at like 3 and had a horrible ache in both of my testicles, and they were raised and painful. no idea why. this is never been the case in the past. went back to bed and they felt pretty much ok later. that structure behind my testicle seems to be enlarged, it's thicker than it should be. i tried to follow the structure up and i noticed it kinks a little and feels thick. also, when i ejaculate, i noticed that the bottom of my testicle (possibly the epididmis) is larger and juts out a little, but within 20 minutes it's back to normal. This is very unusual for me as this has never been the case as well. it's so confusing, where is this discomfort coming from? i don't want to even go out anymore thinking this might bother  me. and i'm totally distracted and don't focus my complete attention on the people im hanging out with. and its too embarrasing to talk about with anyone. i'm going to the urologist on wednesday, it's so weird because when ever i see the doctor my symptoms are too mild to diagnose. perhaps i should drink heavilly and sit uncomfortably for a while, to exacerbate this situation.

Just Relax Sasquatch,

I think you are pulling muscles near your groin while weight lifting.  Wear boxers, not briefs, and you will promote the loose scrotum feeling you have come to love.  Listen to the doctor, and don't over worry.

Good Luck,

When I saw the recent doctor he looked at me like I was wasting his time, rushed me and acted like I didn't know anything. Educating me on the structures of the ductus deferens and what not. I have pain, discomfort, and he doesn't know why so he shooed me away. the exam was like 5 minutes and the rest was him telling me I'm fine. It's very bothersome, and I think they missed it. I think I have a varicocele and it is possible that ultrasounds miss them, and sometimes they can hurt but not be visible, or easily palpable. I just want to know what the problem is regardless. Maybe I should see a varicocele specialist. I would like another ultrasound.

Hi,
" the farthest my testicle will go up is in my groin "
The above statement clearly indicates your testicle moves out of the scrotum sac into the groin area and if so, it is called retractile, and can be painful. Normal testicles are not supposed to move out of scrotum. If this happens, better to reduce the weight lifting exercise and also may need to be fixed by surgery. Have you told this to your doctor?, if not please tell him and if the retracted state can be shown to doctor, he will advise you accordingly.

Take care,

o yeah. i heard your suggestion that it may be a retractile testicle issue. the testicle only feels like its being sucked up, its doesn't actually move much at all. the farthest my testicle will go up is in my groin. which is weird but i think that can be normal. perhaps my testicles being sucked into the groin could increase the blood flow. the only thing i can think to do without wasting money on doctors is to cease weight lifting for a while, and eat healthy food, and exercise like swimming. the doctor also told me not too examine my testicles, because i feel them so much now looking for differences in how they feel. it just seems like they use to be more smooth and there were no ridges, but now i get these veiny swellings, or somethings down there. lately i have noticed that my epididmys seems to get enlarged at the tail after sitting too long or ejaculating. i hope i don't have a varicocele because it almost seems plausible; straining exercises repeatledly, even right after a crash diet which i lost like 10-14 lbs in a short amount of time. i wasn't doing cardio exercises only weight lifting. i'm 6.1 190 lbs, and 26 years old. last week it really annoyed me, i felt this urinating urgency, when there was no bathroom right by, and i would get that dull ache feeling. i'm always thinking about it and not enjoying myself.
i hear that varicoceles usually are painless, if i have one it would defenitley be the painful type. i tried the pelvic stretches and they feel good, but it doesn't get rid of the problem. every day is different, sometimes i barley notice it with it in the back of my mind. other days the ache will be very distracting. if 3 doctors and  missed this than i'm gonna be pissed, because this whole guessing game, and not knowing is almost worse than my problem.

thanks again for the reply,
this issue is very confusing, and anxiety provoking because i don't know what the issue is. i basically have been consistantly weight  lifting for about 3 years until this problem arose. i get this aching in my groin when i do do certain weight lifting things where i strain. i now get the pain/discomfort during doing other things, but not always. for example, shooting a basketball shot, or just moving my leg when it's been still for a while or like getting up all of a sudden. i think this is related to my testicle issue, because this all started to happen around febuary. this testicle discomfort/aching dragging annoyance which seems to always be on my mind. i'm now starting to think i have gallstones and it's affecting my testicle. because around november, i was experiencing a weird pain which wasn't too bad at the bottom of my right rib cage. i also stupidly went on a crash diet to lose some weight in febuary; i limited my calories to like 1000 to 1500 calories for a month. i would feel tired and sluggish but i just kept on doing it. when i came off of it i would continue weight lifting, maybe thats when i seriously injured myself. my masturbating habits were like a couple times a week. maybe i was putting too much stress on my testicles when i wasn't eating enough. anyways, i'm digressing but this information maybe useful to figure out what the issue is.

Hi,
If ultrasound report and doctor's examinations have cleared off any possibility of varicoscele, you may as well relax and need not have to worry about the possibility of any varicoscele. It is quite common for the testicles to move upward towards the body when the cremasteric muscles holding the testes are activated due to emotions, cold envoronment or just while relaxing and there is nothing wrong with it. During this state, there will be increased blood flow to the testes as well as scrotum skin and you may find the blood vessels enlarged and will be easily palpable. You do not seem to be emphasising the pain aspect in your post and combined with your ultrasound test results, I would assume that you do not have any serious problem.

Also, when the testes are in the raised position, for some persons, it may vanish into the abdomen, and if it happens, you should consider it as a case of retractile testicle. It can also happen if you apply extra inward pulling force on the cremasteric muscles when you do weight lifting. You should not allow it to happen often, either by applying down ward force while lifting weight or by reducing the total weight lifted.

Hi thanks for the response,
I still have no relief and I went to another doctor who examined me for a short time and told me that nothing was wrong, and to wear supportive briefs, and take warm bath sitz's.The doctor said I might be losing circulation in my testicles sometimes. All he said was to do these baths, wear supportive briefs and come back in a month. So first doctor in febuary said don't worry, weight lifting is fine and had doubts it caused my testicle pain and discomfort. Ultrasound claimed I was normal which was about 3 weeks ago. However, the ultrasound was looking for a mass on my testicles, and possible hernia, so it wasn't specifically looking for a varicocele, but the report said no varicoceles or hydroceles found. Now the most recent doctor told me there is nothing wrong. I'm at a loss here, not sure what to do. Could I have a varicocele and the ultrasound missed it? I don't have a stereotypical bag of worms mass on the top or side of the testicle. But what else could it be? I have the discomfort, dragging feeling which can be extremely annoying. I feel what could be veins or a swelling of the epididimys, which disappear and reappear but never completely disappear. Straining makes it worse, and may have started the whole problem. And sometimes my scrotum is way too loose. I'm thinking I need another ultrasound specifically for varicocele.

Hi,
You may be having retractile testicles, which moves sometimes more towards abdomen and causes pain, especially when you strain the pelvic floor muscles, as in weight lifting. If you do it too often, there is a chance for it to occur by itself. Better to consult a second urologist for advice if the present doctor is not helpful. Also Google for ' prevention of testicular retraction '.
