is it all in my head?

5 weeks ago I received oral from a girl i met at a bar. 1 hour later i felt a hot sensation in my urethra opening. 10 days later the burning turned to itching and frequent urination. I panicked and went to see a Dr. and was given Zpack and Cipro as a precaution. I had blood and urine work done and everything came back negative. chlamydia and Gonorrhea we negative. Nothing abnormal in my urine test and no growth in culture.  No blisters, redness or anything out of the ordinary with my penis. Move forward to week 3 slight improvement but still have symptoms or discomfort in urethra . I went to see a urologist and he said I had acute prostatitis and gave a ton of meds ( antibiotics, pills and injections, flmax, bactrim, flavomax etc )

My question is can it be possible to get symptoms within minutes of contact?  Could it be that I caught a virus not being picked up by lab work? I am now on week 4 and I have slight improvement but not bakc to 100%.. I shared my finding from the Urologist with my Internal Medicine PCP and he said I dont need all those pills and injections and I just need 21 days of cipro...

At this point im so confused and scared. now 5 weeks later and this is really taking a toll on my mental health. I havent had sex with my wife because im afraid of giving her some kind of STD. But she is starting to suspect. I am dumb and got caught up in the moment. by the way week 5 still no signs of blisters redness or leaking.

STD's really don't start within minutes.  You maybe had something going on before the sexual contact.  Here is an older MedHelp post in which one of our expert doctors fielded the question.  It would be helpful for you to read through it.  I assume when you saw your doctor and he prescribed cipro, he tested you for std's? Typically the issues you describe are caused by fungal infection according to Dr. Edward Hook. https://www.medhelp.org/posts/STDs/Burning-on-head-of-penis/show/2024081

Here is information on balanitis which this also sounds like it could be.  Give this a read and see if it sounds about right for you.  https://www.webmd.com/men/penis-disorder-balanitis#1.
