testicular torsion?

I have had on and off testicular discomfort for some time now and once and a while it can get fairly painful. I looked up testicular anatomy and gave my self a quick physical and noticed that my left tactical (the lower one of the two) epididymis structure seems to be in front, I have been rechecking this daily for the last couple days and have noticed that the left epididymis may be positioned normally one day and in front another day. I have read that testicular torsion is very painful and makes you feel sick to your stomach, none of which I am experiencing.

so is it possible that the testes can rotate 180 degrees for some period of time without a lot of pain? and is this dangerous. I saw a Dr. a little while ago for testicular pain and he said everything was fine, although it seemed he didn't do a through job compared to the Dr. exam procedures I have read on line.

Hello,
In testicular torsion there is acute pain with  twisting of testes which can cause blood supply to get cut off. There are many causes of testicular pain like direct injury, inflammation of testes like orchitis or epididymitis.Varicocele, epididymal cyst and hydrocoele are few other possibilities. There can be hernia which causes a weakness in the muscular wall of the abdomen . It may be possible that the cause of your one testis getting pulled up may be related to any of these conditions. A clinical examination is must for correct diagnosis of your condition. See an urologist. Keep me posted.
Best luck and take care!
