why does my foreskin get irritated?

the foreskin of my uncircumcised penis kept rubbing against my testicles and caused a red irritation. i started to put keep my penis through the hole of my underwear to avoid the friction which seemed to work, however the foreskin still seems to be getting red and irritated on its own. its always the left side of my penis (which is the side my penis hangs), the foreskin gets bunched up. After a day of work when i pull it back its moist and red. after i take a shower it goes away. it doesnt itch or hurt, just looks unpleasant. i was in a relationship for 3 years, im recently single and just want to know what this could be and how can i prevent it for good

Are you sure it's from the friction, and not something like balanitis?

Have you recently lost or gained weight so that your underwear is fitting differently, and therefore your underwear isn't holding you the same way it used to? What style underwear do you wear? If it's loose boxers, maybe switch to boxer briefs or something more form fitting that would hold things in place better.

I really hope a guy comes along and answers this for you. This is something I have no personal experience with, but just want to suggest the possibility of balanitis.

I have a doctors appointment next week, also i made a typo in my original post, im actually circumcised which is why i didnt think it was balantitis.
Oh yeah, then it probably isn't balanitis.

I'm still hoping for a guy to come along, as they have penises and might have actually experienced this.
Oh and if you are circumcised, you don't actually have a foreskin. Do you mean the head of your penis?
