You need to talk to a psychiatrist.  Whether you are committed to a mental hospital will depend on an evaluation of whether you really have an imminent possibility of doing these things.  But it really doesn't matter, you need to do whatever it takes to move past this if it's just thoughts brought on by anxiety or something else, such as schizophrenia.  We can't know here what's going on, only what you're saying, and when you get to that point you do need to talk to a psychiatrist for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.  The most important thing right now is to get past this crisis phase.  Meanwhile, did anything happen that triggered this?

Hello, thank you for writing to us.  We sent some resources to your inbox and email that has numbers you can call as well to talk to someone voice to voice.  Please know that there is help out there and asking for it is essential before you would harm yourself or anyone else.  We wish you the very best and please let us know if we can be of assistance to you.

Hi, wanted to let you know I feel for you and you probably feel very alone.  I agree with that you do need to speak to someone right away.  The fear of being 'sectioned off' or I guess locked up in other words is sincere, I know.  I understand. But the alternative if you end up doing a regrettable action to yourself or another human being?  Not worth it.  Better to be in a place that you can get psychiatric help to move past this in my opinion.  I don't know your medical diagnosis or if this has been going on for some time.  And I do know that not sleeping compounds matters.  Reaching out for help is the best way to get it and getting help may take different forms. Maybe medicine would help.  Maybe inhouse treatment would help.  Maybe just talking to a help line would help.  But please take action as we'll be thinking about you and want you to feel better.  hugs
