i see its been since oct 16th since hearing from you. are you still around?
Well, if you're on Methadone because you were addicted to opiates then you know what to expect. There is a medication that made getting off Methadone easier for me. It's called Clonidine. It's an anti-hypertension drug. It keeps your adrenaline from getting too high and causing that "I feel like I'm gonna turn inside out" feeling. It's not a controlled substance and it's not addictive. Ask your doctor. Read up on it.
Also, I think slowly decreasing your Methadone down to 5mg or lower would be better than coming off 20mg. Get some support through N.A. or something. Good luck.
Hey, I am also detoxing from Methadone and I was wondering how far you have come down? What dose were you at when you started to come back down, and where are you now? I am at 47mg and came down from80mg and thus far I havent had any problem but, I am scared as I start to reach the lower dosage as to what to expect......
Hello all. I've been addicted to oxycontin, roxicets, and the new "no crush" op's for the past 3 years. I started taking methadone about a year ago but will switch from that to roxi's on occasion. I only take 1 10 mg pill a day and am trying to go from that to half a pill per day. I can't keep going back and forth. I already feel the symptoms with the restless legs and the sweats and chills. It is severely interfering with my job as am in outside sales. I need to take a few weeks off and go to a real detox so I can truly get clean. Should I risk talking to my boss and tell him I need to go to rehab? A lot of questions I know. Please help. Thanks a lot.
