Found it. It is from the National Headache Foundation. The web address is headache.org Search by the following title: Early Morning Awakening Headache
I do recall reading an article about early morning (4:00 A.M.) headache/migraine cycles. The article suggested that, if my memory serves me right, our bodily hormonal cycles begin releasing a type of chemical to begin the awakening process. I can't remember if it was related to the thyroid or the thalmus however. If I can find it I will post the title here.
Hi,
How are you? Are there other symptoms present? Are there other symptoms present? Do you get relief also from your migraine headaches during this time? According to some literature, migraines may follow a time clock and may be associated with the hypothalamus in the brain. A headache journal or the headache tracker here in the forum may help identify possible triggers that you can avoid especially at night. If it persists, you may need to have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation. Take care and regards.
