De Sha Vu

I am at in need of confirmation of a disturbing symptom I have. I have seen the neuro doc.I have been diagnosed with B.A.M. I do get headaches at times from certain smells, such as potent flowers or inscense. Usually my symptoms are, ( at times but not always: an aura with glitter or sparkles, decreased level of consciousness. weakness in my legs for short time, head ache, fatuige and memory loss ) The symptoms I always have are: hyperventalation with starring. I am able to see and hear everything around me. but at the time I am unable to respond or compelled not to because I am seeing visions, runnning like a movie right in front of me. they are familiar, like a memory which at times dose not seem like my own. or possiablly something I may have seen on t.v. most of the time they bring great feelings of fear or dred. They are almost allways the same visions (3 or 4 different ones) w/ occational new ones. There are certain triggers, some from rainy weather, but most are visual in nature. types of pictures or situations that make me say hey Ive been here or done this. The visions start, then hyper-ventalating, then trance like state. I try hrd to explain them after but I cant.Recently the episodes have become so freaquent, I have had to remove things from my home or avoid certain places or objects that I see regularly because they  cause these visions each time I see them ( in a certain way or at a certain angle). I am not crazy, I am a nurse, and Ive had these for about 12 years, the last 3 months the worst ( none the last 4 years). I  am 44. I also have hypertention of unknown ediology.

I think honestly you may be having out of body experiences with previous life memory lapse.  My Grandmother was very intuitive to those types of things and would go transy-unresponsive but fine and breathing. Then she would talk about her day at the mill that we never had, or swimming holes. She used to tell us that when she would feel herself "going-out" or "coming in" she would be filled with dread. Is it that your soul wants it's freedom? Is it like a baby being born, the fear of the unknown? Who knows. But I think you should see someone more in that realm of things if you want to control or understand it better. But that is my opinion.

B.A.M. IS BASLILAR ART. MIG. i ASK IF I HAD THESE EPISODES IN 1995-1996 AND THEN MAYBE ONCE A YEAR. THE LAST THREE MONTHS ARE DISTURBING BECAUSE THEY ARE HAPPENING SO OFTEN. AND THE LAST WEEK MANY TIMES  A DAY. THE THING THAT MADE ME QUESTION MY SANITY SO TO SPEAK WAS THE FACT THAT THE TRIGGERS WERE UNUSUAL NOT BROUGHT ON BY SMELL, LIGHTS, VIDEO GAMES OR HOME MOVIES (WHICH MAKE ME VOMIT) OR BARROMETRIC PRESSURE. BUT BY SEEING  CERTAIN TYPES OF ITEMS OR PICTURES. I TOOK ZOLOFT AND WELLBUTRIN IN 1995 AND IT HELPED BUT STOPPED TAKING THEM A YEAR LATER AND HAVE BEEN FINE.

Does B A M mean Basilar Artery Migraine?

Being a nurse, you will recognize this as a neuropsychiatric phenomenon (which doesn't mean you are a patient, as you know) Since you have been living with this for the last 12 yrs, you know very well you are sane. What does your neuro say about this

De Sha Vu (Deja vu) as I know is a phenomenon where you have a feeling of familiarity to places or situations to which you haven't been exposed previously, and seems to be different from your experience. This is taken as a normal phenomenon in many people. Yours appear to be more of a 'dreamy state' with altered awareness?

Your Neurologist may have already done tests like EEG to rule out temporal lobe epilepsy. Did he give you anti-anxiety medication (since the visions are not pleasant) just to see if they go away?

Wish you the very best,

Thomas Antony
