Hi,
I do agree with Archeopterix.Given the location of the pain, ruling out involvement of underlying structures such as TMJ, the ear, lymph nodes , neck muscles may be able to help.An evaluation by an ENT specialist may be able to guide you. Also, sharp jabbing pains may suggest several differentials like trigeminal neuralgia, cluster headaches, hemicrania continua, paroxysmal hemicrania and SUNCT headaches. Arthritic pain due to musculoskeletal causes may also present as sharp pains.
Could be a number of things, ask your doctor and see if you can get into a specialist. It might be TMJ disorder or a migraine or a cluster headache or a pulled muscle or anything.
