Migraine symptom, no all the time, anyone else?

I've had Migraines, from what I can recall, since 1989. I used to get a pre migraine warning with visual disturbances. Mainly, things with repeating patterns would shimmer and dance. A good example would be someone wearing a stripped shirt. The stripes would just shimmer. Mini-blinds would dance and shimmer. Stairs. Stripped wall paper, text on a page. For years, this aura would warn me that a severe migraine was eminent. Well over the past maybe 10 years, the visual disturbances now occur all the time. It's a nuisance. I've had so many migraines I really think they do something to you. I'm in a daze most of the time, kind of like a zombie. I generally get at least one a week. I tried to keep track one year (2013) and lost count at 71. Imetrex is great but can't use it much due to rebound headaches. Anyway, anyone else have "stuck" visual disturbances?

What does your neurologist say? Unfortunately prolong migraine does cause permanent brain damages as recent research shows. Are you on any preventive meds? That may help you reduce the frequency of silent migraines.

Hi and welcome to the Migraines & Headaches Community.

An aura can occur before, during and after the pain from a migraine. So, if you are having them frequently then it makes sense that you would feel like your having an aura all the time.....it's a viscous cycle.

There are a lot of different migraine meds and combos so, talk to your doctor and see if there is something else y'all can do.
