Neuro issues? Or something else...

I have different issues with my lower (C 5-7) and upper neck (C 0-1).  I have been to a neuro doc and he told me that my MRI read fine and the EMG did not show any nerve damage.  If this is the case, then why am I having numbness in my left arm/hand in my 4-5 digit and pain in the lower part of my neck and weakness in my left arm?   He recommended a procedure that I have already had, which tells me he didn't take the time to review my records.

I go to pain management, and my doc is supportive and listens to my bellyaching better than any other specialist that I have been to.  He has performed several different procedures so far:

Epidural injections - No relief
Facet Joint blocks (c 2-7) - No relief

Additionally, I have headaches daily which occasionally become migraines (or migraine like)  I take gabapentin, and maxsalt when needed.

I take the following meds:
Skelaxin 3600 mg daily
Gabapentin 1800 mg daily
Vicodin (as needed)
Maxsalt (as needed)

The pain in my neck is constant/achy and worsens with left to right movement, and up and down movement.  My  headaches are daily and are manageable for about 90% of the time, the other 10% is debilitating and takes me out of work.

Any help or recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks Selma.  Adding another layer to this problem, I am in the military and I am slotted to go to either Korea or Afghanistan this summer.  I have been at my current assignment for 18 months and have gone through 4 different primary care managers and just when we build a trust and they know of my issues they leave or the Army switches us around.  The military medical system does not communicate with the civilian medical system.  I do have paper copies of all of my military medical procedures when I go to civilian specialists.  I will most like go and talk to my PCM again to see what she recommends.  Thanks again.

The best advice I can offer is get copies of all testing u have had to date, including the reports, call the facility where the studies were done...going forward request when u sign in for testing that u want copies....this way u have them and it is easier to get another opinion and u will know they have the info as u can present it.

Your lucky that your gp is good! Can he refer you to a different specialist for a second opinion?
