Question in hope of answer

Hi, my name is Alaina and I have had 2 brain surgeries. While I was in the military I was exposed to something, giving me spinal meningitis. For weeks my back tried to break itself until a doctor found a brain abscess the size and volume of a golf ball on the left side of my brain. I was rushed to surgery which removed the majority of the abscess via a cranyotomy. That portion of my brain was damaged and said to have been destroyed by the abscess. After the surgery, by natural reaction, my left ventricle locked up, and my right side went completely limp as result of a stroke, resulting in another surgery which added a shunt to help open the path. Ever since the "successful" surgeries, I have had extreme memory loss, below average cognitive skills, and chronic headaches and migraines. I have a gap in my brain about the width of a quarter down to my left ventricle. My question is how to get rid of these headaches? They are not always migraines, but shattering pain originating from my scar down to seemingly the middle of my brain in the front part of my head? I have been prescribed narcotic like drugs for years as well as drugs such as topirimate and gambumetone? I dont really remember the names so I apologize. MRIs and Ct scans brought no answers and doctors now say that nothing seems to work and there's not much else they can do. PLEASE help! All suggestions will be appreciated....

Yes I do have swollen temples! Wow, I'm sorry you had to go thru all that too! It was my pleasure serving the country.....my scar gets real tender after all my headaches and the pain radiates over both my eyes.....I take zomig for the migraines, which seems to work, but I'm afraid of becoming addicted, my doctors continuously warn me about that...Ive tried a lot of meds too and nothing seems to work.....nothing shows up in my MRIs either....but the next time I see my neurologist I'm going to ask for a CT scan. In the past before my second surgery they saw nothing that was leading to my stroke on the right side. When I got a CT scan by MISTAKE they then saw that my left ventricle had been blocked. I still have hope...do you? I wish you and your family the best....thank you for getting back to me....
