dull head pain once in a while and vibrating foot?

hey everyone, im new to the forum. 19 yr old, apparently healthy male. Since late june/early july i have been getting a weird dull head pain once in a while. my doctor thought it was from an ear infection i had so she prescribed amoxicillin. finished that off last week and still had the pains every so often. fast forward to yesterday i went for my follow up appointment, where she said that i need to stop being so paranoid about my health, since i always end up on google diagnosing myself. i feel like i might be a hypochondriac, but thats beside the point. I woke up yesterday with a weird pain to the left of my male area. it went away then came back later on in the day, and now it feels like a weird muscle strain or something of that sort. while at the doctor yesterday i felt a weird "buzzing" or "vibrating" feeling in my left foot. it comes on for a couple of seconds then goes away for about 5-10 seconds then comes back. and it repeats. it stopped a few times since then but its still happening. the doctor said its fine. any idea whats going on with me? i know this is alot but i appreciate any help or insight from anyone. thanks! :D

well after going to the neurologist and getting my MRI and EEG completed, everything is normal. The neurologist attributed the headaches to ice pick headaches, and recommended vitamin B2. Since starting my 400 mg daily i have been headache free for the past 2 weeks!

Your description of the pain in the male left area might suggest some type of nerve neuropathy.  I suggest this because I have incurred a unintentional surgical injury to the left femoral nerve and the left genitofemoral nerve and also to the left lateral femoral cutanous nerve (LFCN).  I too have a similar nerve pain and the male area can be none to pleasant.  There are also a number of ways to injure the LFCN because it is close to the surface of the pelvic area.  Wearing a heavy belt tightened along that nerve is just one example.  The LFCN would cause a pins and needles along the outside flank of the thigh to the knee.

Dr Santos can probably speak to some of the tests including a EMG for the LFCN but the other nerves are deeper and would require a SSEP by a trained specialist.  The vibrating sensation for me occurs after standing and then laying flat.  It causes a sensation to the soles of the feet.  I'm told that the nerves along the spine cause this as pressure from the spinal disks are relaxed against the spinal cord.  Hope you find this helpful.

Hi doctor, the buzzing feeling is like a phone vibrating. It buzzes for a couple of seconds, then goes away for about 5 seconds, then comes back, and repeats constantly. I do experience the headache every so often, but not as frequently as it used to be. Maybe 1-3 times a day, if that. Thanks for answering!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? Can you elaborate on the vibrating or buzzing feeling in your foot?  Do you still experience the dull headache?  It is good that you were able to finish your antibiotic and you were able to see your doctor for your follow-up.  If you do not have history of trauma to your head, the headache could be due to primary headaches such as tension headache and may be managed with pain medications and rest. If this persists, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor or be referred to a neurologist for proper evaluation. Take care and do keep us posted.
