Hi,
Hope you are feeling better. Please complete your antibiotic treatment and undergo tests like CT scan or MRI of the brain to make sure if the sinusitis is still there or not and also to rule out the possibility of a neurological lesion.
You can also take OTC pain killers. It is also important to rule out an ear infection. Ear infections can cause pressure pains in the head. Please consider having an ENT exam done.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your response. The headache is usually a dull ache, but at times it feels like pressure builds. Sometimes it is in the back and top of my head and sometimes it is right in the front of my forehead. When I feel the pressure, I get nervous. The pressure comes at least 2 times during the day and lasts for 1'1/2 hours. The dull ache has been continuous since 2 days after the root canal. I just don't know what to do from here.
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.
Sometimes it takes more than a few days to clear up the sinus infection. You can try taking steam inhalation as it helps to loosen the secretions and clear up the sinuses. Also you can OTC pain killers for pain relief.
Is it a one sided headache and what is the nature of this headache?
Please elaborate.
