migraines

About two months ago I started having headaches unlike ever before. I was diagnosed with migraines in 2000 so I know what those are like. This new kind would just start at any time of the day for no reason. Always behind my right eye it would feel like pressure. Then the eye socket felt bruised and swollen. The pain would be sharp piercing or throbbing and go up into temple down side of head into neck. Along with the pain is burning. I have no sensitivity to light or noise with these and only got nauseous once. I can't lay down it makes the pain even worse. My regular doctor said it was just a migraine nothing serious which I think he is wrong. Hope some one can help me figure this out. Thanks!!

Hi Anna

I use to get these types of migraines too, they are scary and awful.  I found out that mine were related to my sinuses.   When I feel this type of headache coming now, I immediately use my 'steamer' with a few drops of tea tree oil and usually* the headache retreats.

I try to stay au natural in my treatments but if a 'damnbuster'  (that's my nickname for a really bad migraine) is on the way nothing is going to stop it.

Maybe you could have your eyes checked too?  Ask them to check your intra ocular pressures.

Try to stay calm, anxiety and panic makes things worse.  This I know :)
