migranes and lump on back of head

I have just started seeing a nuerologist for my migraines , after many sugestions from my regular doctor. I just had a mri down as well as i think they call it a BRE and VRE, its were they test my brain waives, one was were i layed there for 30 min with sensors all over my head the other also had sensors but i had to listen two so clicking sounds through headphones then i had to watch this video. Anyways, my migraines normally cause nausea and stiffness and numbing in my head and neck , i was washing my hair tonight and relized i have a big lump bigger than a quarter on the left bottom side of the head. It is soar to the touch and makes me feel the same way as my migraines, it also sticks out where you can see it when i put my hair in a ponytail, I am worried, i have an appointment next wednesday. And the nurses said the doctor usually doesnt look at your test results till right before then, should i be concerned and call him tommorow. Any ideas what this lump could be?

I have had miganes for a few years now too. I also have a hard bump little bigger than a quarter right above my neck where the hairline starts. If i press it, it feels the same way as the migranes do. I am only 17 and the migranes are ruining my life and my schoolwork. I also have mild scoliosis and the doctors noticed the bump and said it was like a knott of tissues, they did this electric thing that was suppose to loosen it up and help my migranes; it did work for a few months but now its back to the same and the lump is still there and I'm wondering if its something more serious and not just a knott of tissues...
goodluck let me know what your doctors think please.

Please tell me what your results were of the lump on your head.  I just on this website because I have suffered for years with horrible migraines and lately they have been getting worse. Then tonight I was taking a shower when I noticed a quarter sized lump on the back of my head just above my neck.  To be honest, I'm a little scared.  I hate doctors and I have never wanted to see one for the headaches, but have thought about it many times.  Please let me know how your news turned out.  Thank you!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
Brain tumours usually cause one or more neurological symptoms like  headache , numbness, vision problems etc . Please get the lump checked . It could also be a cyst. Please go for a CT scan and MRI brain to come to the diagnosis . Please consult a neurologist for the same . Hope this helps you . Take care and regards !
