Mirena causing Polycythemia?

I am currently on the 2nd year of my 2nd mirena.  I have been suffering with constant nausea and stomach spasms for almost 2 years. I have lost a lot of weight and live like I'm 80 yrs old, as in I spend so much time in bed.  Also, I am on my 3rd Dr, trying to find a solution to my stomach troubles.  The most recent diagnosis is polycythemia (high red blood count).  I have undergone one session of therapeutic phlebotomy,  where they drained 1200 mls of blood off.  I felt better afterwards,  but as my body build the blood back up, the stomach issues return.   Has anyone else had a similar problem?  I am desperate for relief and wondered if the mirena could be causing the polycythemia?

So with the polycythemia did this improve the condition.

I was on my 2nd one as well, took the first one out because the strings were poking me and my husband. However, the main reason I had the second one removed is because it was like I was stuck in a perpetual loop of PMS.

I had the same problem- extreme stomach issues. Constant nausea, frequent vomiting, and overall feeling horrible and in bed most of the time! Finally, I has the Mirena IUD removed 6/9/15 and went back to Depo-Provera. The stomach relief was almost instant!!! Take it out!
