Terrible right side pain with iud
Hello, I'm new to the group and have a question.
I have had my Mirena for two years now, and I have recently been experiencing right side pain, below the ribs above the hip. It also goes around to my lower back. I had an ultrasound to check gall bladder, liver, and kidney which came back fine. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this? The doctor has checked my IUD placement and that is fine too. Please help.

Hello, I had an IUD the mirena in for over five years and I just had replaced a couple weeks ago. Since then I’ve had excruciating lower right back pain. I went back for an ultrasound and it was placed in correctly. I went back again today and had it removed to see if it’s process of
