2nd period after d&v

I have a question regarding cycles after d&c.   I had a d&c and got my period back several weeks after, which gave me hope we can start ttc again.  However,  I am cd 36 and no sign of af (I know I am not pregnant).  I know that they say your cycles after a d&c can be all over the place, but I used to have cycles no longer than 29 days.  I am starting to get so frustrated and wondering if my body will get back to normal  .  Why haven't I got my period by now?  When I should be concerned if it doesnt come back? Has this created problems for me in the future of getting pregnant?
Please Help!!

Hey there,
I am sorry to hear about your miscarriage/d&c.  I know that not getting you body back to normal can be so so frustrating.  I finally got my period on CD38!!  That is a record high.  I think that it can take a while for your periods to get back to normal.  I would suggest if you can get a fertility monitor and/or start charting.  I know that this may seem so tedious, but it will give you some clarity on where you are at in your cycle.  The nice thing about the clear blue monitor is that it tests for 2 hormones and gives you some days to get ready  for the big "O". I used it for the first time and ovulated closer my pre d&c, but my cycle is still a little bit longer, but not as long as 38 days.  I know how it feels not to stress and think of it all the time, but let your mind relax because that can also delay your period.  Our bodies have gone through a lot.  Good luck and let me know how it goes.

I am going through the same thing as you! I had a miscarriage in May and the d&c prodedure done in early May! I got my normal period back on June 17th and now it's July and havn't gotten one! It's driving me insane that I got my normal period back and now where is it? We are trying again as well and it's going to be hard to track to know when I am ovulating or not! I  have taken numerous pregnancy tests thinking that I could be pregnnant cause I am an always on time peroson when it comes to my periods! This has been a very tough month for me  not knowing when my period will come back! The weird thing is that i had a smidge of brown come out of me twice this month only when I wipe thinking that it's implantation but I have no clue! I want to call my doctor and see what she thinks! They told me that my first period would come back either right no time or a few months later! Me and you are in the same boat! So i will keep ya posted if I find anything out!!!

Thanks for the response and hope.  I finally got my period on cd38 :-(.  It ***** that before the d&c I had normal cycles and I had some idea when I was ovulating, but now I dont know if I will once again have a delayed ovulation/long cycle or it my body will have a normal cycle?? It makes getting pregnant  so much harder now.
I'm so bummed..

I'm so sorry for your loss. Most dr's will say it can take 3 or more cycles to regulate. Our bodies can take their time healing. A m/c is major trauma on our bodies. The waiting is awful. I'm sorry that is what you are doing. I can't say wether or not ttc will be easy for you or not. What you are going through at this stage unfortunately is normal. I would def talk to your dr if after 3 mos you haven't gotten a period. It will get easier it just takes time. I have been in your shoes it's not a fun place to be...don't lose hope, keep your chin up! I'm here if you need to talk.
