Has anyone had an ectopic pregnancy before ? Where were your pains at ? When did you find out ? How was it removed or dealt with ?

I dont know if im pregnant but im bleeding for almost 3weeks. Sometimes my lower left side hurts, burping always, cramping. Lastweek there was blood clots, then it stopped for an hour after that im bleeding heavy.

Ive been searching and found these risk factors of ectopic pregnancies. Do any of these apply to anyone here who had the experience? Just wanted to see the how accurate the risk factors are:

    Being over age 35
    Smoking
    Use of an intrauterine device (IUD), a form of birth control, at the time of conception
    History of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID)
    Sexually-transmitted diseases such as chlamydia and gonorrhea
    Congenital abnormality of the fallopian tube
    History of pelvic surgery — Scarring might block the fertilized egg from leaving the fallopian tube.
    History of ectopic pregnancy
    Tubal ligation (surgical sterilization), unsuccessful tubal ligation, or reversal of tubal ligation
    Use of fertility drugs
    Infertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT)

Ectopic is any pregnancy that occurs outside of the uterus.  D &C and mva are procedures that suck or scrape out the thickened uterine lining.  It gets rid of all of the matter in there that comes from being pregnant.

My ectopic pregnancy felt like normal period pains the only thing that was odd was that I was constipated alot I didnt even know I waa pregnant until the day it ruptured wen I figueed something was wrong bevause I was in extreme pain on my left side and I wanted to faint my doctor confirmed I was pregnant with no viable fetus in womb ... thats the worst pain I hv encountered so far ... ididnt hv spottin or pain in my shoulders or anything but thank God I made it to the doctor bevause my husband told me to go take some painkillers n.come lie down .... needless to sa I lost my tube and almost my life because I was bleeding internally... a hard time in my life but ... I thi k your still a little early so dont over worry yourself

Sharp pains on the inside of your hip are normal in early pregnancy.
I have one fallopian tube ( due to my 1 ovary dying from a complicated cyst when I was 19)
It does not effect my fertility at all thank god im pregnant with my 3rd baby.
With all 3 I went for early ultrasounds because I only jave 1 tube I made thwm do it.
an ectopic pregnancy is ANYWHERE outside the uterous.
Im sure your fine the pains are scary but its veru early so dont stress until your next ultrasound until you know for sure.

Yes I had one like 4yrs ago my pain was on the left lower side of my abdomen, also I was bleeding. It was in the felopien tube. They gave me two shots and it made me bleed alot more like a misscarage.  And in a couple days the bleeding stop. Its was a very hard time in my life, it took awhile for me to feel like myself again and not sad. But when I had my U/S it was very visible and they new right away it was in the tube. I was only a couple wks. I don't think its sounds like to me you have an ectopic pregnacy,  because they would know if you had an U/S done. My prayers go out to you. Oh i forgot brown blood usually means its old blood. When i spotted it started as pink then,by the end red. I got a pelvic exam and was confirmed that the blood was coming from my cervix.

Mine wasn't too painful. I just spotted when wiping and a little cramping. I knew that wasn't normal for my pregnancies (@ the time I'd had 3 full term pregnancies). I went to the hospital and they gave me an ultra sound and determined it was an ectopic. I was so early on that they gave me medicine to help the miscarriage progress and kept me over night for observation... and that was the extent of my experience.

Is an ectopic pregnancy the same as being in your tubs ? Ya I'm not sure where it's coming from and Noone can give me any answers . It got bad while I was in the store earlier

You are still very early. With me  my levels went up less than 100 each time (like around 60). The spotting started when i wiped after peeing and eventually got a little more and more especially when i was active. Try to relax and dont stress. I remember when they told me i started to freak out and started to feel pains on my leg and arm and everywhere and being very paranoid. It was all stress. Just remember that you are still very early for your baby to show up on ultrasound. Maybe your pain is related to your car accident?

I go on monday for an ultrasound . I had one done on Friday when I went back for pains , they couldn't see anything yet , they have me at 2 weeks and 3 days right now . I went back yesterday to get my blood test , they said my levels last Friday were in the 400s and yesterday they were in the 700s , she said she would've liked them to be higher but didn't tell me anything else different.  I told her about the pain and the brown discharge I am having ( I wear a pad , nothing is ever on it , only really see it when I go pee) . I'm just really nervous and would rather not go back to the hospital for the 4th time within a week

It was the worse pain I have ever experience. I normally have pain when I'm on my cycle but this time it was worse, the point where I could not stand it. I remember leaving work earlier and pass out in my husband's arms just from the pain. I went to ER on was given a shot to remove the fetus. I had to come back 2 weeks straight for follow up. They wanted to remove one of my tubes but I wasn't ready for that I had only had 1 child and wanted more....

I went to the er because I had a gut feeling something wasn't right. Go to the er to ease up your mind. Its really serious and can be life threatening.

Yes spotting blood it would come and go. When I got pregnant again doctors told me to look for vague or achy lower abdominal pain, usually worse on one side than the other. Do you have a doctor yet? How many weeks are you?

With me I just was spotting non stop for several weeks especially when bending over. I had no pain at all.  Was told that some women spot when pregnant and as long as there is no pain I was fine. Normally there is pain on your left or right side only. I went to er did ultrasound my uterus was empty i was suppose to be 8 weeks  and they said I miscarried or was going to.  They did follow up with hcg for the following week and another ultrasound and baby was found on left fallopian tube.  Got the methotrexate shot because I wanted to safe my tube and was scared of surgery. Unfortunately it didn't work and had to get my tube removed. The earlier its discovered the better chance the shot will work.

What is a d & c or mva? I'm having a pain kind of by my left hip , most of the time it's constant but not to where I can't walk . I was told last Wed after my car accident that I was pregnant and I also have cists on both my ovaries

I had one in March. The baby was growing in the cyst of my left ovary. I didn't have extreme pain or bleeding.  I just knew something wasn't right somehow.  After an emergency room visit, the doctors determined it was growing in my ovary. My hcg levels dropped bit they also gave me methotrexate and a procedure similar to a d&c called a mva.

So no pain like by your hip on the side you had it on ? And by spotting do you mean you were spotting blood ?

Had a laporascopy with 3 stitches instead of 2 because there was so much blood from the rupture. Went to work 2 weeks after. Had a check up 10 weeks later and it was fine :)

I had one in February which resulted in a ruptured tube. I had spotting for 3 weeks and period cramps in my left groin. The pain was just like a really bad period so I thought nothing of it. Did a pee stick and was "2-3 weeks." Decided to keep it but that night I bled with clots. Went to the Dr and said it was a miscarriage. Continued bleeding for a week and I begged for an ultrasound. I was sent to the er afterwards and had surgery for tube romoval
