Ugh, wow, isn't that confusing?? Now I understand why my doctor made me keep getting mine done until it got under 6. (He wanted it under 6, but it actually was 0 the last time I had it tested.) Thing is, not being exactly sure when I m/c (cuz I didn't know I was pregnant that time), i'm not exactly sure of the timetable. But to my best estimate, it took about 5 weeks to get to zero after my m/c, and I was about 5-6 weeks along when it happened. I was pregnant again about 8 day s later. So, i think it IS possible you are pregnant again, but it definitely could still be from your loss.
All you can really do is wait for your follow-up. Waiting s ucks!!! Hang in there, hun.
THANK SO MUCH jenkaye21........how confusing. I am so glad to have your support :) big hugs!
Hi Jen
I do remember taking a pregnancy test 3 weeks after my miscarriage and it was negative. A week later I had my blood drawn and it was 5. I never got my blood drawn again but it can take that long for it to come down. I do hope you are pregnant but try not to count on it so you don't get disappointed :)
It is very confusing after a miscarriage! Goodluck
Some woman actually have some HCG in their blood at all times even when they are not pregnant - what I mean is not everyone is 0. That is why they don't count woman being pregnant till it's over 5.
Your normal level could be 3.8
AF arrived saturday (BY THE WAY it's me JenLex, I had to get a new acount due to some tech problems) . I was upset at first, but am fine and ok with it now. I am just glad that everythign is going back to "normal" and I KNOW what is going on. Not knowing drives me NUTS!!! lol
