Abnormal u/s

I am really scared I had my first ultrasound today and it did not go as well as I had hoped.  I had both abdominal and vaginal.  The results said that I have a retroverted uterus then went to describe the gestational sac as irregualr and containing echogenic yolk with subtle echogenic debris with in gestational sac. It said there was a fetal pole irregular shaped but 9mm suggestive of 7 weeks which would be correct from my LMP.  I was excited to see the baby's heart beat but when I recieved the report it was discouraging when it said 126 BPM was a low heart beat.  It also said that the findings were suspicious of impending spontaneous abortion.  I am really scared.  I had one spot of brown blood two days ago and nothing really since.  I have had no cramps associated with the spotting.  I  have not really had to many symptoms besides slight nipple tenderness and a little nauseous in the evening if I have not eaten.  My symptoms have lightened I think or I could just be thinking the worst.  I am scared that I am going to lose the baby or that someting is genetically wrong with the baby.  Any advice?

I'm so sorry you are going through this. The best advice I can give you is to wait until you have your next u/s. It is a good thing to see the heartbeat so I would not give up hope. I've heard some other women on here that have had one u/s that wasn't good and then they go on to have a healthy baby. At this point all you can do is wait until the next u/s and since you are having no cramps or signs of m/c just take it day by day. I hope everything will go well and you will be fine with a healthy baby.

I agree with Natalie. I would have another u/s done. Sometimes hbs can be low. My ob told me anything under 100 raises a red flag. He assured me sometimes the baby is sleeping etc. Every dr is different and has different approaches to how they practice medicine. I always have low hcg numbers and bleeding with every single one of my pgs. For now I would try to relax I know it's easier said than done. I would not throw in the towel just yet. Right now it's the waiting game which is not a fun place to be. This is a whonderful forum full of lots of support. I"m here if you need to talk. Best wishes to you..I hope you feel better soon..Please let me know what happens...

I'm sorry you're having to go through this. Like Natalie said...I've seen miracles happen. I would wait and see what happens at your next u/s. You and your baby will be in my thoughts and prayers. *hugs*

Im sorry you are going through this too. My cait didnt have a good report on her first ultra sound.  Not any symptoms just a little spotting from time to time,  her levels have pretty much leveled out with a little decrease and she's only 6 weeks along.  They couldn"t hear a heartbeat (which you heard) and says that she's going to miscarry.  Cait dont believe it because she has no other symptoms.  Feels fine but gets a little upset stomache when she hasnt ate as well.  Her OB said today there's no hope today, and asked her about getting the pills to make her start and she absolutely refused. I wish you luck and praying for you!!

I'm so sorry for what you are going through.  I know how awful the waiting can be.  Do you have another u/s scheduled or are they following your HCG levels?  Where there is a heartbeat there is hope.  You will be in my prayers.

It's such a worrying time for you and the waiting makes it really difficult. Doctors just seem to briefly tell you what they've found, and often don't fully explain what that means -trouble is, they're dealing with this every day of the week but, to you, it's the first time you've probably heard about it - so it's scary for you.  Seeing a heartbeat is hopeful. Hope your next scan will be really soon. Thinking of you. Big hug.
