I am in the process of having a miscarriage. I was just wondering what to expect? I just started bleeding this evening.

I'm sorry but I have to agree, every miscarriage is different.  My miscarriage was spotting one day, red blood spotting the next morning. Hospital visit still spotting, an hour after arriving to hospital it was gushing with clots. 2 hours later my waters broke and my baby boy came out. I didn't have much pain. I bled for about 5 weeks after that. They too pulled several clots away which is the worse feeling after seeing your baby but the pain does get easier to handle :-)

I spotted red blood all day. We arrived at the hospital at 5pm, gushing at 6pm in a packed waiting room for an hour before they rushed me into a room and at 9pm my baby boy was born sleeping :-)

I too am sorry for your loss and agree with the other posters. I've had 4 miscarriages and all were different. If you have any other questions, feel free to inbox me.

I'm sorry for your loss as well. I agree with MableMouse.....everyone is different and every miscarriage is different.....I have lost 5 now and none of them went the same way, there is no exact chain of events. Depending on how far along you are, makes a difference also. Make sure you follow the advice from your Dr and call to talk to a nurse if you need to. My heart goes out to you!!

I'm sorry for your loss. Everyone is different. I had a miscarriage on August 22 and I spotted for a few days was brown then red and clotty that's when I went to the doctors that night I started gushing lots of blood and passing large clots went to the er was sent home with a heavy period like bleeding. I bleed like that all day then the next morning I started gushing again and passed a huge clot (I had pretty bad cramping by this point). Then I went to the er again and they pulled clots from my cervix and put me on a drip and did the ultrasound confirming miscarriage.. the bleeding wasn't so bad after that, but I bled for about a week and three weeks later got my period. But that doesn't mean that's how it will be for you. Hope my experience can help you.:)
