Conceiving as Miscarraige

OK.  I'll try to keep this short.  DH and I have been TTC for over 6 years now.  We had twins in OCT of 08 after doing a round of FET.  Sadly, our daughter passed away 6 hours after she was born.  Our son is beautiful and 9 months old!  We are no spring chickens anymore, so to speak.  Of course no one thinks its going to take 6 years to have a baby.  Anyway, after they were born we decided whatever happens happens.  To our surprise, I got pregnant last month!  I am not miscarrying the baby.  Although sad, we are excited that it worked!

I know you are supposed to wait after having a miscarriage, but is it bad to start trying right away again?  Reason being is I do not have the luxury of waiting 2-3 months then trying in the off chance that we may get lucky again.  We don't have a lot of time left to conceive another child.  Everyone talks about physically and emotionally healing.  Emotionally, we are fine.  After burying a child, a miscarriage is small beans (and I mean that with a lot of love and respect to others who are going through this too).  I'm not trying to downplay a miscarriage to others.  However, for us we do not need that emotional time.  Anyway, when is a good time to start again?  Just looking for thoughts.

I'm ss you are going through this.  I know what you mean by not being a spring chick any more. I'm 36 and there are a lot of us on the pregnancy 35+ that are ttc after m/c and failed IVF etc...  I too m/c recently my 7th time with no live births so I can understand what you are going through in wanting to ttc right away.  My RE just suggust waiting at least a cycle so that when I do become pregnant again they can correctly date the pregnancy.  Otherwise he tells me that if I'm ready emotionally and physically to try again right away.

GL and lots of baby dust to you.
