Does anyone have a history subchoronic hematoma with pregnancy?

Hi , I am 29y.o. I have given birth to a full term baby girl in 2005 and a boy in 2011. With both pregnancies I was told during US that I had a subchoronic hematoma, I never had any bleeding,I was followed by a perinatologist and didn't have any complications due to the hematoma. I got pregnant again 2/2014 , I was referred to MFM again for a "large subchoronic hematoma " I don't know what the measurements were but I was told by the tech that the hematoma was 2 times the size of my baby and placenta. I never had any cramping or bleeding . I had an ultrasound every 2 weeks and had no problems. I went to MFM at 16 weeks for ultra sound and my dr said " I'm sorry your baby has no heart beat" in May 2014. I never had an symptoms of a miscarriage. I was induced and after my baby boy was born my dr ordered genetic testing and my baby was sent to pathology but results showed no cause for miscarriage. My ob say he "thinks "it could have happened because of hematoma. My questions are what could cause me to have this hematoma with all 3 of my pregnancies? What can I do to prevent? My OB wants me to have a preconception appt with perinatologist , the only possibility he gave me was maybe I have factor V? What would Factor V diagnosis mean for a future pregnancy? I have no other known health problems, how likely is it that I would have a sch again? Thank you so much!

And I'm sorry to hear for your loss. When you were diagnosed, were you ever put on a bed rest? My dr put me on strict bed rest so "gravity" didn't play a factor.

I'm sorry for your losses:(. I was never put on bed rest, only pelvic rest, no exercise and no heavy lifting.

I had that issue as well. I was never given a reason why I got them. According to my OB "some people just get them" he's been in the field 45 years and said he has never diagnosed anyone with anything who hade recurrent haemorrhages. The difference with mine, is I would bleed horribly. He said its almost better to have it bleed it. I had it in 5 pregnancies. 2 resulted in healthy births, the other 3 were very early miscarriages which were unrelated to the hematoma. My last pregnancy, I took baby aspirin at the beginning so the bleed didnt have a chance to build up and I never ended up having a hematoma that pregnancy at all n
