I miscarried twins & had to.have a d&c as well. I highly recommend being put under...I had high emotions and I'm really glad I didn't have to see what they were doing.
I got pregnant again 4 months later. The pregnancy was hard because I was always nervous about if the baby was okay & if things were normal. My doctor was great though, he let us have ultra sounds if I was nervous & everything went well.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I agree that it is a rather quick procedure. I've had 1 D&C out of 6 miscarriages and don't regret it after going through allowing my body to do it on its own which was painful both physically and emotionally. I'd say to wait at least 2 months before trying to conceive again. My miscarriages were due to a hormonal issue but I still waited after each one to try again mostly to try to recover emotionally.

I am so sorry for your losses. It is a terrible time for you. I miscarried on my first pregnancy and 4 times since. I had a D &c with first miscarriage at 12 weeks. To be honest it was absolutley fine and very quick. You are put asleep and next thing you know it's over. I had some pain and bleeding afterwards.
For me I had another miscarriage a few months after this and then stopped trying for a while as I think we found it difficult to cope with 2 losses in a row. I did go on to have a little boy and again 3 miscarriages after him..I am pregnant again 29 weeks with number 2.. Thank god..
I think you will be fine . It is a tough time for you but you will get through it. Be strong and don't give up. Your body may need a little time to recover but as far as I remember I started trying again after my first period.
Good luck to you.
