I need your support!

I am about 8 weeks pregnant and since the beginning of my pregnancy I have been told it was chemical, ectopic and now "not a viable pregnancy". I am a bit frustrated. My Beta came back at 4100. I go for another US on Tuesday. I went away for a week so I haven't had one in about 2 weeks. They did see a little sac in the center of my uterus but my uterus is tipped and (sorry TMI) I am extremely constipated. I guess my question is...What should I expect if I do miscarry? Should I just go for  a DnC? Will this make this process faster so that I can start again? I'm so confused, This pregnancy has put me through the RINGER. I just don't know how to feel anymore. I used to think that BFP was all I was waiting for and now that I got it it is just a heart Ache!
Thanks for listening.
Melanie

Mel,   Just keep in mind you will need to have more blood tests to confirm your beta goes down to zero.  If it doesn't, then when you get prego again your blood tests will really confuse you again.
Also, make sure they do sono to confirm you pass all tissue.  I still needed to have a D&C after the fact because there was still some that didnt pass.  The tablets they gave you may help.

Good Luck!!

Hi K,
Thank you. I'm ok,  My OB told me that I didn't need a dnc, he said it was so small. I started bleeding last night and never took the pills. I'm just gonna stay on the couch all weekend, I have Monday off so hopefully I will be fine.
How are you feeling? Boy your getting close now!? Have you been sleeping a little better?

sORRY to hear that this pregnancy didnt work out for you. I understand how hard it can be.  When I had my blighted Ovum M/C we did D&C because the contractions were starting & oh so painful.  I would suggest going this route.

After my d&c I was told 3 cycles.  I had another d&c for my lining being too thick and was told one cycle for that.  I think it depends on what your dr recommends and how fast you heal.  So sorry for your loss and good luck to u.

I know it can be so draining.  The not know what is going on.  With my first m/c we had that back and forth back and forth.  I hope all goes well for you tomorrow.  I will pray for you.

Thank you ladies, I am hoping that I get a definitive answer tomorrow. I am not going to wait, If I have to I am going to have a dnc. I had one prior to my fet, I'm guessing it will be the same but maybe this one will be a little emotional. I'm just hoping that I will be able to start again and maybe do another mini asap! I do have 1 snow baby left.
Once again, Thank you ladies for being there for me!

i've had 2 miscarriages one at 6 weeks and that one came away naturally, no cramps or anything and another when I thought I was 8 wks, it measured 6 wks so it had already been dead for 2 so I opted to have a d&c with that one, I asked the doctor to do a concervative one as I would like to try again which she did and I had little to no bleeding or cramps afterwards, so unless you have already had some bleeding, and they find its not viable on the u/s I would go the d&c as llike the other posts say it could be a few weeks of waiting and that can do your head in, once out you can start trying again :)

I agree with Marietta. A missed miscarriage can take up to 12 weeks for the body to catch on. That would mean 4 more weeks of you waiting what would be a nonviable pregnancy (which I pray is not the case for you!!). I have had 2 missed miscarriages in the past year and I will tell you unequivocally....go for the D&C.  Don't wait for your body to miscarry. It will put you weeks behind if you decide to do another mini, and it is not pleasant.  The D&C is over in 15 minutes and you get pain medication if you need it. Your hormone levels will start to drop immediately and you will feel so much better.  Keep us posted. I am praying for you tomorrow.

I'm so sorry Melanie that it doesn't look like a viable pregnancy.  I went through this back in April/May, and I truly wished I had just gotten a BFN instead of all the added stress and heartache after IVF.

My numbers were OK, but not rising exactly as the clinic wanted.  From memory, at around 6 weeks, my E2 was around 5,400.  At that time, an U/S only showed an empty sac.  I then went on a scheduled holiday, so didn't get the next U/S until around 8 weeks.  During the holiday, I started getting morning sickness and a bad taste in my mouth, exactly like I had for my other two successful pregnancies, so I started feeling more confident.  But the second U/S showed an empty sac and some 'disintegration'.  I was totally shell shocked.  All this happened around Easter holidays.  My RE gave me the option of waiting a week, and then coming back to the clinic if nothing had started.  No miscarriage happened, so at around 9 weeks, I was given the option of waiting until it passed (could take weeks), taking misoprostol, or a D&C.  Because I was feeling so pregnant, I didn't want to wait it out - having no baby growing within me, yet suffering morning sickness etc, is not nice.  I didn't want to have a D&C, so I decided to go to the hospital and take the misopostrol.
Within around an hour of taking it, the miscarriage started.

I hope that somehow a miracle happens for you!!  We all deserve them!  XOX

I had two miscarraiges, first(blighted ovum) induced with cytotec pills which was painful as I had severe contractions at 12 weeks pregnancy, second miscarraige(partial mole)doctor the will give me cytotec but I asked for
D+ C and my hormones fell back to normal within 1 month, and I am pregnant for the third time, which could be blighted ovum again. I had U/S at 6 weeks and it showed 4 weeks empty sac. I will be back in 2 weeks time for another U/S.I believe that if it is meant to be a human being nothing will stop it to come to this world.

Hope things will be fine with you.

I have had both a natural m/c and a d&c.  With my d&c it was relatively painless and was told to wait 3 cycles.  With the natural m/c I was told to wait 1 cycle.(we didnt and had my son!) I know the waiting is frustrating.  Hopefully you will get positive news and you wont have to worry about it.  Good luck keep us posted.
