how long do you carry your pregnant hormone?

I had a m/c on 4/23/09 and i took a test jus out of coursioty, and it still says that im pregnant. Why is that? It looked like it wanted to say no at first, by the time the test was finish, it had 2 lines.

I agree with lisa. It can take 3 or more cycles for not only your cycles to regulate but your body to get back to normal. I'm so sorry for your loss. Take care and best wishes to you!

I am very sorry to hear about your loss.
I miscarried on 4/21 and I am still getting a BFP also.
If you look on the internet there are many reliable websites that say it can take 4-12 weeks for the HCG ( pregnany hormone) to leave your body.  Some women it only takes 2 weeks and some much longer.  It depends on your body and how far along you were.
My HCG was about 26,000 at 9 weeks with a blighted Ovum, 1 after the m/c I was at 900.  I go for another HCG check and ultasound on Thursday and I hope its below 5.
When is your follow up Dr visit?
Isnt that just crappy?  I really wish it was all over also.
