Miscarriage ....NEED ADVICE!

I went to the doctor today and when they did the US they seen that the baby hadnt grown and they could see a heartbeat. I should be 8 weeks today. And it read 6 weeks 1 day. I havent bled or anything ... what causes this? I am sooo upset! This would of been my very first baby, and my parents were comin around, gettin excited. Me now im just ... at a loss ...

If they saw a heartbeat then this would be a good sign and as mommyoftwo has said it could just be that your dates are a bit off.  It is quite common for our LMP date and the US date to be different by up to 2 weeks.  With all of my pregnancies I was given a due date 2 weeks later than that given by my LMP (last menstrual period).

Don't give up hope just yet.

As of right now the dates could be off, it is hard to get an exact measurement at that stage from what my dr told me. They did see a heartbeat so thats a good thing. I would get another opinion. Did they say it was a miscarriage? Lots of prayers!
