Miscarriage

Hi, I just found out after an u/s there's no fetus or heartbeat in the sac, I am six weeks pregnant, do I have a D n C or wait for it to pass?

Thank you very much for your kind words. I think I'll wait for a while for it to pass, if it doesn't then I take the next step.

When I lost at 6 weeks, my doctor prescribed some medication to clear any left clots.

As I experienced lots of monthly pains, I was referred for a D&C.

I think it will depend whether you will need a D&C on your monthly cycles.  Your gynaecologist or your doctor will give you the best advice.

Do remember that these things do happen so don't feel guilty or stress.  If this affects you emotionally, your doctor will be able to help by prescribing some medication to help you to relax and not get depressed.  You may or may not need this.

I am very sorry for your loss hon.  I know this is a sad time for you.  I think generally, it is always best if it passes on its own.  D&C works well but can leave scar tissue.  I would say that your doctor is your best source of information though for your next step.  Best of luck to you and again, very sorry for your loss.  hugs
