Missed miscarrage and trying again

I have so many questions, how long do I have to wait to try again?  I had a missed miscarrage at 10 weeks, the babies died at almost 7 and possibly 8 weeks.  I took Misoprostol in lieu of a D & C.

I am supposed to wait 6 weeks but I can't, I have an ultrasound on the 19th to see if my uterus is cleaned out, I bet I will see if I am ovulating also, then I have to have a period and can try that cycle.  I know you have immediate increased fertility and I am not going to waste that.  Since the meds they made me take for a "missed miscarrage" are actually abortion pills, I googled and can't seem to find anything on trying to get pregnant again after taking misoprostol, anybody know the effects if I were to get prego again before my docs advice?

I found out my baby died yesterday.  I went for my three month scan and there was no heartbeat.  I am really upset and boyfirend is handling the loss in the same way.  I go to the hospital on wednesday to get it taken away from me, I will be alseep during the procedure but it doesn't make the whole thing less harder.
Me and my boyfriend are already discussing that we want to try again, I think these posts have been very helpful to me, I hope that everything works out with all of you and your children.

I had my level checked on August 19th and it was at 217.  My first beta after my missed period was 235 July 2 so it has never been that low...just waiting a few more weeks, then will start BD with my DH because its been 4 months now since he has been able to land a hand on me.  I am aware of the risks but don't care.  I saw I was ovulating in the ultrasound so hope things are back to normal, if I miscarry again I am not really thinking I will ever be able to have children anyway so I don't care.

My RE told me toe wait 2-3 months. Good luck, I know how hard a miscarriage is, and a missed miscarriage is always shocking. I know it was for me.....

my doctor tracked my hcg levels back down to zero but i have heard that not all doctors do this.  you could call and request a level and see if they do it.

Thanks ladies, I now understand as much as I am mentally ready to put this behind me my body is telling me I am not physically ready, I nearly fainted yesterday, have horrible headaches, its been less than a week (well one week today) and last night I tried to return to my normal life, I played competitive soccer and clearly I wasn't ready.  I need to take it easy and take some time to recover.  Anyway, has anyone ever tracked their progress with HPT to see when their levels are back to zero?  What about headaches?  That was one of my first symptoms, anyone notice symptoms in reverse?

First of all Im very sorry for your loss. I had a miscarriage as well but my girls were 24 weeks along so i did not have to take pills or get a d & c, I had to push them out stillborn.  This was in Dec. 2006 and by my checkup in March I was pregnant again.  I dont have any answers for you about the pills but I do the most important thing is to make sure YOU are ready to be pregnant again, mentally and physically.  There are a lot of thoughts and emotions running through you right now not to mention hormones and you just need to make sure you are ready that soon after to try.  As far as safety, my pregnancy with my son was fine and there are flucuating opinions on how long to wait.  Ive heard anywhere from a couple months to a year! (Who would want to wait a year though seriously?) Just keep track of your ovulation and if you're ready try again! Good luck to you and God bless!

i am so sorry for you loss.  i did not take the pills, i lopted with both of my missed miscarriages for d and c's.  but from being on this forum for a while, i do know that many women get pregnant again after mc even before they get their first period.  the main thing is to make sure you are healed emotionally.  my doctor told me to wait 2 healthy periods since the d and c's make your uterus weak at first and your period's rebuild the lining.  well after my first mc, i only waited one cycle and ended up having another MC because i do not think my body was ready.  after my second, i waited 3 healthy cycles and now i am going in for my 12 week ultrasound today.

you do whatever feels right for you to do.  good luck:)

I didnt take the same med you did but I took Cytotec.  After my miscarriages i have been told to wait 3 months by the RE.  This gives my body a couple of fluctuating cycles and then usually one strong cycle before ttc.  My family ob this past time told me one month is sufficient if my af seems on track.    I always take at least one of the doctors advice since I will be needed much of their services in my 1st trimester.  I also wait the recommended time to make sure the next one is healthy as possible.  Is it hard to wait?? absolutely ;)
We started after one cycle to ttc, i miscarried on may 28th.. my hcg has not returned to below 5 as of yet, so the way i look at it my body isnt completely healthy until all of those levels are back to normal!!!

Good luck to you.
