Need advice

My boyfriend and i last week lost our son. He was stillborn at 40 weeks.. He was my first child and his first son. I'm not sure what to do, say, or think at this time. We are both grieving in different ways. He rather not deal with it and zone out to video game ect, where I would like to talk about it and try to move through it if that's even possible. How do we communicate now ect? I know that I've been quick to lash out over petty things and he seems to shut me out. What do i do? Any help and or advice would be much appreciated...

I'm glad to hear you are talking to someone! The mood swings will get better! Sadly you can't really control them! You just have to tell yourself that is the hormones and your body changing back! I just had to really stop before any response and think before I spoke! Just don't let any doctor talk you into mood enhancers or anti depressants! They won't help and then you will have another problem on your hands! Your body will cure itself! It's only time love and compassion! Be good to yourself!

Thank you so much for your response and kind words... I'm as well sorry for your loss as well.. We live together so I'm never technically alone. He has been very supportive ect when it first happend last week, but the last few days have seemed to change. I know that part of it is me and my mood swings as he calls them . I just don't know how to control them. I have a therapist and I've seen her once already so that was good.

Oh girl I'm so sorry to hear that. I know the loss of any child is gut wrenching. It is true guys have a totally different way to handle things. My suggestion is def to see counseling! Your emotions to lash out are totally normal. You need to talk about it. If he is not capable, you need to try to respect that unfortunately. It just means he can't handle talking about it right now. That may change but you can't wait for that. You need to talk about it! I have had three mcs but never that far along. It will be okay and you will figure out a way to deal with it but please don't do it on your own. Your mind will be your worst enemy right now. Just try not to be alone right now. Have anyone stay with you for a few days. This forum does help and there are a lot of things to read to help you. Much love and message me anytime!
