Will my baby be healthy?

Hello!  I am new to this site but have read a lot of your posts.  I had a MC 9/28/08 (my first pregnancy) went to the dr and them told me it was a "chemical pregnancy".  So, I have been waiting for my cycle to come again and its hasn't.  Its been about 30 days since my mc.  So, I took a home test and it was positive and REALLY dark, my first test wasn't even that dark.  So I called DR immediately and went in for bloodwork and sure enough my level was 654 so I am about 3 weeks pregnant, which means I got pregnant 2 weeks after my miscarriage!  I was shocked!  Has this happened to anyone? If so, was your baby healthy? We are so scared

I would try not to worry about it. you dont want to stress yourself out when everything could be totally fine.
you would be surprised how many woman get pregnant an M/C a few days after AF is due. they think it is a late and heavy AF and dont think anything of it when its actually a M/C.
I am sure you will be ok. keep us informed!

thanks for the replies.  i did not have a D&C. the dr said since my pregnancy ended so early i didn't need one so i had a natural mc.  i was only 4 weeks and the dr actually called it a "chemical pregnancy"

Congrats on your pregnancy!
I know a lot of woman have told me that they got pregnant a month after there M/C and did have health babies so it can happen.
did you have a D&C?

i am new to the site too- i actually had a d&c on oct 17, miscarried at 5wks. i told the nurse i still had symptoms, nausea, very very tired, soreness etc, she said since i had unprotected sex, (3 days after d&c- i only bled the same day,) to go in and have hcg levels checked, tues oct 28 they were at 237 then i went back 2 days later and were at 251! she said its possible to be pregnant again but would they really be able to tell this soon? and also would the hcg be that high already? i go back monday to have them checked again, but its drivin me crazy! good luck to you- im sure all will be good!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! After my m/c I though I had got pregnant in the weeks after so I put up a similar post on many sites and found that it happens quite often...A whole lot more than I thought, and many of the women went on to have succesfull pregnancies!!! So good luck! keep us updated!
