What happens if I get pregnant during a failing pregnancy?

A month ago I found out I was early pregnant but first two hcg draws showed my hcg was dropping. I was told to expect bleeding and miscarriage at any time. HCGs continued to be taken every week and continued to drop. My doctor's nurse called me after weeks of this and said "Oh, make sure you don't get pregnant right now."
I got pretty upset with her for waiting so long to tell me this because my husband and I had already had sex since I figured no big deal and I probably couldn't get pregnant until after I bled.
Well, I still haven't bled and waiting to see a new doctor because that wasn't the first time that last doctor failed to communicate important info. I'm super worried I could have done something horrible or if I get pregnant now, but I can't seem to find information anywhere about why we shouldn't or what could happen if we did. Anybody have info on why we shouldn't have had sex and what would happen if I got pregnant during this time?

Yes, I agree.   And I know may women who have 'just right' hormones after miscarriage and they get pregnant very quickly.  Let us know how you are doing.

Hi! I ended up seeing a new, amazing obgyn. She did another pregnancy test and ultrasound. She had no idea why I didn't bleed after I miscarried but everything looked okay and normal lining. She didn't think I needed to wait and induced a period and we're trying a new fertility drug she thinks will work better for me. Having a communicative OBGYN made all the difference.  Thanks for checking in on me. :)

Well u usually wont ovulate again til after your hcg level is zero..so u shouldn't worry..I did get pregnant immediately after a miscarriage tho but lost that baby too because the lining of my uterus hadnt had a chance to build back up..the docter warned me..bit next time I waited 3 months an had a successful pregnancy

Thank you so much for answering. I got pregnant via fertility meds and when I had an ultrasound, they said I had some developed follicles, possibly from the clomid, so that made me worry. Still haven't bled, so I'd be 2 months today if I hadn't lost it and probably still have plenty of lining.
I'm glad you had a successful pregnancy afterwards! It gives me hope!
