postive preg test

I had a miscarriage on Jan *9th, I had a lot of bleeding, and a lot of cramping, I went to the ER and pretty much they fill me with pain killers and sent me home, I sleep most of that day and on that Sunday I passed the after birth and soon the baby, I know bc I saw it, gross I know. Now my husband and I have had unprotected sex since, a lot! Thinking I was preg again, we took a test last night which was Jan 17 and it was positive, So my husband made an appointment for me to go to the doctor which was pretty much a waste of time because the stupid doctor told me I couldn't be that my hormonal levels where still high, I feel in my heart that I am, so in the morning I am going to get blood work that is going to prove everyone wrong that I am being blessed again. Keep you posted what the stupid blood work says!

i too am going thru the very same thing its been just a day over 2 weeks since i had d&c, me and my parnter had unprotected sex 10 days past my d&c i wanted to know where i stood with my body so the day after i took a preg test JUST TO MAKE SURE I WAS ON A CLEAN SLATE NOT TO CHECK FOR PREG , and there it was as clear as the nose on my face a positive test :( ive nevver been so disappointed to see a pos test lol, so now im taking tests untill i get a neg !!!! i thought as i had a d&c i would already be neg but it just goes to show you can have a goood clean out and still be pos .
just bear with it and it will happen when your body is ready for another preg good luck for your next pregnanacy and i wish you a happy and healthy 9 mths :) as for this test you have i wouldnt hold out any hopes huny xx

I agree with the above posters.  With my first m/c some tissue was retained keeping my levels from going down and I had to have 2 d&cs to get it all.  I waited three cycles after that got pg again had another m/c.   I got pg immediately after my second m/c.  I ovulated 11 days after to be exact.  I ovuated so soon because I was only five weeks and my levels only got to 47.  Im sorry for your loss and you will be blessed again, you are right about that.  Good luck to you.

I too am sorry for your loss.  I also think the Dr. and the other ladies are correct.  After a natural miscarriage, even if everything is passed, it can take at least a few weeks for your hormone levels to get back to 0.  That is required in order for you to ovulate, which is usually again at least a week or two after levels reach 0.  

I did conceive immediately after a miscarriage.  However, it was a very early miscarriage (I was only 4 weeks along when I started to bleed), and my levels had never gotten very high to start with.  Even then, I conceived about 10 days to 2 weeks afterward according to ultrasound dating.

I'm sorry, I wish I could say differently, but what you are saying is just about impossible.  I am so sorry for what you have been through, and I wish you well.

First of all, i am very sorry for your loss. :(
Here is what usually has happened - some tissue was missed during your D&C or natural miscarriage. Maybe A bit of placenta clung to the wall of the uterus and It continued to draw a little blood, and the body continued to create very small amounts of pregnancy hormone, for that reason ur test shows a positive result, or still your body's attempts to regulate its hormones again, and ur HCG are still not zero.
Some women find they have mild pregnancy symptoms, or little cramps. Many many women think they could be pregnant, because strange things are happening and their period is "late".

I don't think that it is possible, i wish it can be.
I was exactly in same situation, i was pretty sure and 100% that i am pregnant again, i have all symptoms, test was positive, but it was a false alarm. :(

Once again i am sorry for your loss. Keep me Updated dear, but in case it was a false alarm, don't be depressed and don't be sad.

I am "Sorry" about Your loss.
I do not think that it is possible however to get a "new" positive reading within only 8 days. It is highly possible these hormones are leftover from the previous pregnancy
