stillbirth

I just delivered my baby girl 15 weeks early. It's been hard. I feel empty inside. My Hubbie and I had sex three days after I gave birth. What are my chances of getting pregnant again.

You can have sex whenever you want.
But Roxanalovxo is absolutely right. You can harm your insides more than you think by the simple act.
I lost my son at 16wks and me and my bf weren't intimate until I was nearing the end of the bleeding. which was about 2 or so weeks after delivery.
It's hard, I know. But if you get pregnant again so soon after such a traumatic event, it will only hurt you in the long run.
You could have a completely normal pregnancy, but being that far along and getting pregnant again so soon, you might have more complications that you'd think.
you need to let your body and MIND heal.
It's been 3 mos since losing my baby boy and I still think of him and what happened daily. it never goes away. we started trying right after my first cycle, which was approved by my Dr. But no luck, which is a blessing in disguise because I'm soo not ready for another possible loss.
the reason they tell you to wait is so that you have time to heal mentally and physically.
trust me, you may think that getting pregnant and having another baby will fill that void, and it will, but it will also fill you with the fear of losing another one so soon after this one :(
So sorry you're going through this.

I don't think she was trying to be rude or judgemental, she was just curious why she would have sex so quick after giving birth. I mean you do have to let your body heal after delivering. But to answer gummie83 question, first, I'm sorry for your loss! I cannot imagine what you must be going through, but I don't think having sex 3 days after delivering was a good thing. The uterus and cervix go through some extreme changes after delivering a baby, DOES NOT matter if it was full term or not. During this healing phase the lining of the uterus, especially the site where the placenta was attached, is susceptible to infection. Intercourse, douching, tampons, and anything placed in the vagina may introduce bacteria, and cause an infection. The flow of lochia, which is a sign that the lining is healing, can last from three to eight weeks. When the lochia flow is no longer bright red, it signals that healing is near completion, and it's probably safe to have intercourse again. However, if you're still healing from an episiotomy or vaginal tear, you'll need to wait even longer still. So I would just say take it easy, relax, let your body rest and heal and wait a little bit again to try to have another baby. Pregnancy puts a lot of stress on the body, and you need to give it the proper time for it to get better. Hope this helps! And once again sorry for your loss, I really hope you find strength and courage to deal with this sad situation.

I didn't judge her, I simply asked why. I didn't intend it to sound mean...
Also the rest of my comment didn't post and I had said "I'm so sorry for your loss, all the best for the future!"

She just lost her baby she should be getting support from us, Not us judging her for having sex. Shes empty, emotional. It's her body, her life. We don't have a say when she can have sex it's up to her.

And gummie83 the first 6 Weeks after delivery your very fertile so you probably are but just be careful and care for yourself. I'm here if you wanna talk.
