ttc after a miscarriage

im a young 22 year old and just had a natural m/c about 3 1/2 weeks ago. i was bleeding for the next 4 days after the m/c. i was 4 weeks pregnant and did not need a d&c. i was told by my doc to wait one cycle but my husband and i had unprotected sex today. it was my first pregnancy and we we're over excited. it was very devastating when i m/c. ive been very anxious to know if i could have a healthy baby like other women.... if i do get pregnant around this time would it be to risky??? what are my chances of getting pregnant right now? is it a bad thing if i get pregnant when i havent gotten my normal period? please help! any advice is helpful!!!! thank you!

I miscarried at 14 weeks on april 13th, natural miscarriage no medical intervention and the doctor said that we could start trying as soon as we wanted.  I think it is a personal preference as to whether you want to wait or you want to try straight away.  I think doctors like you to wait to get an accurate lmp.

My hubby and I left it in god's hands and we missed out this month so fingers crossed we will be pregnant next month.

Goodluck roxy562, do what you truly believe is right for yourself.  Congratulations faith!!!!

You are supposed to be very fertile after a miscarriage.  I think they tell you to wait 3 cycles until your cycles are normal so you know when you conceived.  I would say that you should maybe at least wait for 1 cycle to come that way you know around when you would be due the next month and it would give your uterus time to go through one normal cycle and heal.  So sorry for you lose.  Good luck TTC and I hope your next baby is extra extra sticky.

Hi I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm 21 and my hubby and I were also expecting for the first time, but unfortunately it ended in natural m/c on march 16th. I bought OPK and charted my BBT at the end of march. According to my OPK I ovulated on April 3rd and on the 16th found out I was pregnant again. Now I'm 9 weeks tomorrow. My doc told me to wait 3 cycles, but I don't have a very high opinion of the docs I've dealt with so I decided to try right away and leave it in Gods hands. I think it's a personal decision between you and your hubby when you want to start trying. I don't think it's risky to get pregnant soon after, I've read plenty of stories of women who have waited the time the doctor gives them and still unfortunately have m/c. And to answer your last question no I don't think it is a bad thing to get pregnant before getting your first period after your m/c I didn't get my period and got pregnant everything looks good I saw the baby and the heartbeat. I've also read a lot of stories from other women who got pregnant soon after and had normal healthy pregnancies. I hope this helps!
