Am just browsing, but thought I would mention a blood test called anticardiolipin antibodies. It causes "sticky" blood. Your blood clots transferring between mom and baby resulting in miscarriage. Also can cause blood clots and Pulmonary embolism. Is tested automatically in Great Britain, but not as often in most parts of US. Is also called antiphospholipin syndrome, Hughes Syndrome.
Test cost me $145 w/o insurance and result was back in 2 days. Just a venous blood draw. If positive, you can give yourself some level of anti coagulation therapy for the duration of the pregnancy and all can be well. Best of luck.

They don't need to wait 2 months for testing, at least they didn't in my case.  Once I started my 1st AF, they had me come in for all sorts of bloodwork, and when AF ended they did some stuff through ultrasound and more bloodwork.  But again, every Dr. is a bit different and opinions do vary.  I wish you all the best in having a healthy pregnancy when you ttc again.  Take good care.

Hi! I think you should wait, I know it is hard, but I truely beleive your body needs some time to heal.. I am not saying to wait just 1 month, but at least 1 cycle would be good, but I would do as your doctor recomends.

I am keeping you in my prayers!

Im not sure about the testing part because i have not been tested for anything yet, i would assume she wants you to wait until your body is back to normal and hormone levels are not all over the place.(im just assuming) You shoulldve asked her why do she recommend three months and why two months before the testing so that you will have a clear understanding of whats going on and what the plan is.

She said three months because that is what she recomends to all her patients! She said in order to test me for all that I have to wait at least 2 months!? is that right??

Hi, sorry for your losses, like leighann said you might want to get tested, it could be something you can fix like she said.

Also like Agdal said, there is no true, concrete fact when it comes to waiting after m/c and d&c's. What i have noticed is that drs will give you a time frame to wait according to your situation and your health. What did your dr say, and if your dr gave you a time frame ask the dr why he/she choose that time frame. You will be amazed at the reason the dr gives you. My dr told me once you get a cycle, that is your body letting you no that it can prepare for conception.

Most people sorta go on what their drs tell them and some do what they feel is best for them.

To be honest i only waited for one cycle because i was to depressed to think about ttc right after my loss, it was my first m/c.

Talk with your ob, get some test done and do what you feel is right, because when its all said and done, only god knows what he has in store for us, if its meant to be it will be, and if not, it wont.
I will keep you in my prayers, let us no what you decide to do:)

There are so many conflicting opinions and stories about when to ttc again.  Agomez said her Dr. said 3 months, I have heard others say their Dr.'s say 6 months, and my Dr. and others I have talked to Dr.'s say one month is enough, although getting pregnant right after a m/c before your next cycle is fine as well. I wish I knew the correct answer. I know some of it depends on if they know why you m/c. For example, a tubal pregnancy or a molar pregnancy need more time then just a m/c for no real reason.  Even on the internet when you look this up, you get completely different answers.  Many Dr's also say there is absolutely no evidence that conceiving quickly after a m/c increases your chances of another m/c at all.

I had my last D&C June 1, had a bunch of testijng done, and am now ttc again.  I took all the information I could find, and chose what seemed to make the most sense for me.  It doesn't mean I am right, but its what I have decided to do.  I think thats all you can do.

Whatever you decide, I hope all turns out well for you, and you have a healthy pregnancy when the time comes.  Take care.

after my 2nd MC, i had all the testing done for recurrent pregnancy loss.  you could have something simple like low progesterone or a blood clotting disorder that is so easy to treat.  i would suggest you having some tests run to see if it could be these simple things so that you do not suffer another MC if you could have control over it.

Well when I had a m/c I was told by my Dr. that I needed to wait at the least 3 mths before trying again. Your body does not fully heal and your cycles need to regulate before trying again. This takes at least 3 mths. Some say it is best to wait 6mths to a year but I think the dr knows nobody ttc is going to wait that long.
There is an increased risk in another m/c if you conceive too quickly after a m/c. That doesn't mean you will have a repeat m/c, but there is an increased risk. My advice is to wait the 3 mths to allow your body to heal before ttc. Your body has gone through alot if you'vd had 2 m/c in 2 mths... Just my opinion. I work in an er and see ALOT of m/c's... We waited before ttc and we are pregnant now almost 1 yr after the m/c and everything seems to be going well...
So good luck in whatever you decide....
