2nd go around with symptoms

Hi.  Back in September, I started having a bit of tingling in my right hand and right foot along with muscle fatigue.  The hand got better, but I still, at times, have a strange sensation in my foot.  Not tingling, per se but a weird feeling.  I met with a neurologist who said it would get better over time.  I had an MRI done that was clean.  I recently got back from Mexico where I wound up getting travelers diarreah toward the end of our trip.  Immediately upon arriving home, I got a cold sore (I get them at least once a year) and felt pretty horrible for about a week.  Very run down.  The muscle fatigue and off feeling has come back and been back for about 3-4 weeks.  Muscle fasiculations in my calves, right eye twitching....just feeling unwell.  Does this warrant another trip to the neuro, GP, wait and see?  I'm wondering if the cold sore could have triggered something.  I've been reading up on viral infections lingering.

I'm also visiting a gastro due to some intestinal discomfort.  I believe it's Gastritis along with  reflux as I've been having symptoms.  I'm wondering if stomach issues can cause vitamin deficiencies and maybe this is where the muscle fatigue and fasiculations are coming into play.

I'm hypothyroid so take meds for that....I'm also taking Magnesium, Iron, Vitamin D, Calcium and a few others.

Hi and welcome,

To be honest i'm not sure where a neurological condition like MS would fit in, from what i understand it sounds more like you could of picked up a viral or infection of some type whilst in Mexico, i wouldn't recommend you wait any longer, go and see your GP!

Hope that helps......JJ
