Any other diabetics with MS?

I've had all the classic sx of MS for a month now (lightheadedness, vision changes, tingling in my face and now my back, temperature sensativity, and now weakness in my hand) and all my medical workups are normal. I just realized what my symptoms mean. No one has told me I have MS but I know. It suddenly all makes sense.

I have been a type 1 diabetic for over 20 years. I can't take steroids.
I am scared and feeling very alone (I am single, no children).
I feel the need of you all. I need to talk to someone.

Hi Malli, and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry you are having all these symptoms and are afraid it is MS.  If you will check out our health pages, just click on the icon on the upper right hand side of the page.

There are some really great articles there that can give you an idea of what it takes to get a MS diagnosis, and explains some of the mimics that wobbly has mentioned.

I am undx, and do not have diabetes so I'm not one to answer your question.  I know we did have one member, Penn, who was suspecting MS and was dx with diabetes.

I'm sure others will pop on here and give you some answers.

I look forward to getting to know you better and hope you will post often.

Take care,
doni

I'm not yet Dx with anything...I don't have Diabetis..have you been tested for MS?  Have you had MRIs and a LP?

Are you Dx yet with MS?  there are alot of mimics that feel like MS...but without a Dx it's not possible to get the Meds...I don't think...

I'm not sure how often it happens to have both MS and be diabetic.. ??

Maybe others will jump in and give their advise

take care
