left arm pain and electric like shocks

Hello!  I still am undiagnosed.  I go back for a repeat MRI in September to see if there are any changes.  (my last MRI shows multi focal white matter lesions in the supratentorial region).  The neuro wanted me to wait 3 months and see if there are any changes.  In the meantime, the past few days have been pretty tough.  I am having numbness and tingling in my arms, more so in my left.  It also hurts at times.  Last night while giving my daughter a bath, I felt electric like shocks in both my arms.  It was really strange.  Since then, the numbness and generally weird feeling has been in my left arm.  I also am having numbness in my left foot up to my mid calf.

In addition, my lower back has been KILLING me at night when in bed.  Not during the day, only at night.  It wakes me up.

It has been a while since I had any symptoms, maybe about a month.  I really thought maybe there was nothing wrong with me.  But now, I have to second guess my thinking.  I am extremely fatigued as well, and have had major ringing in my ears.

Anyway, if someone can let me know if they have had arm pain/numbness/shock and back pain, and what (if anything) can be done for it.  I am thinking about calling my primary for a visit because I have not seen her since March.  I have been going back for EBV testing, which coincidentally, keeps coming back elevated.  (not the active strain, but the other ones have been testing at very high titers)

Thanks.  I am really new to all this and appreciate any feed back.

Thanks for your replies.

The wierd buzzing sensation continues. And my back pain is pretty bad, I even noticed it today on my commute in that my low back really hurt.  I have an hour and 10 minute commute, so the pain in the back and the fatigue make it really difficult!  Going home is always worse, its hard for me to even keep my eyes open a lot of the time.

I think I will call the neuro today.  I have an appt. with my GP on Thursday, but I don't know how much help she will be.

Thanks again!!!

it sounds like your in the beginning stage of getting some Dx.. have you had all the blood testing done... etc.  Have you also had a spinal MRI?

it sounds like you know to keep a record of your symptoms and ask for copies of your results from tests.

If I were you, I would see my GP and talk to them about your symptoms as well.  See if there is any meds to help out with these pains etc.  (Gabapentin)??

take care and let us know how things go
