Coping with freezing foot

I was dx with Benign MS over 10 yrs ago. I have had TGN, blurred vision, paralysis with my arm,  off balance, suffer from mirgraines and exhausted. I have been good now for a few yrs the only thing that seems to come up is" artic foot" calf, my arm paralysis which is more of a pain in the arm and hand with slight swelling of the hand symptom now, and being exhuasted all the time.

When I get this cold foot feeling it is like my foot is in freezing water. It too can feel wet sometimes. My foot also does not like to be in tight fitting shoe when it has the freezing feeling. The pain keeps me up and tires me out. My foot does not swell or is cold to the touch. It feels normal. What do you guys do about the pain? I would like some suggestions please.

I have read many older posts and want to Thank Everyone for posting, this forum has been a life saver to me.

Wishing everyone a great week!

Thank you for your comment. I was put on neurotin and wow it made me dopey and wobbly climbing stairs. All I wanted to do was sleep and sleep. Perhaps I should try it again at a smaller dose. thank you for the reminder. I'm still up with the pain.

Hope you have a good day tomorrow!

Hi, sunnyweather-

For the arctic foot, I would say gabapentin (neurotin) or lyrica.  Those are the drugs used to treat nerve pain.  I have been on both and others in the forum have good success with them.  Just use caution, they can cause drowsiness.

I get the freezing feet, but mine actually feel cold to the touch.  But, it sounds like it feels the same, no less.  It can be hard to cope with so I can relate to what you are feeling.  It seems nothing warms them up.

I hope this helps,
Addi
