Working and MS

Hi everyone,

It's the new girl again. Just wondering how everyone manages at work? Is everyone working or can't?

What is this going to do to me being the Police?? As of now I can't even see myself pulling my gun let alone aiming!!!!

I'm soooooooooo tired all the time! I think I'm going through a major depression.

Take care all,
Michele

I know how you feel to a point as well, I do Security for a living, i don't have to carry a gun or anything but I do have to be on my toes all day, everyday. We (5) are the front line people and if pooh was going to hit the fan, we are the first people they see and if someone had to walk in with a weapon, we are the first who is going to get it.  We get trained by C.I.P.S for our self defence. We do Hostage training, we do Tornado training, Frie drills, so basically i have to keep my thoughts clear and be ready to keep the staff of 1500+ safe everyday.

My advice to you is, Just be careful, like Jason said, you have to keep your safety in mind along with the safety for others.

Some days are harder than others, that's for sure. I feel for you and know what you're going through to a point. I went through the same thing, but my job doesn't require the possible use of deadly force; I'm just a computer guy. Personally, I didn't announce my issues to my employer, but I did _discreetly_ inform a few key people that I was having issues and they did their best to accommodate me while I was being treated, so I could work through most of it. I don't know what you'll be able to do or who you'll be able to confide in, but I think your safety would be priority number one. I would hope that you don't have many occasions that you'll actually have to draw your weapon, but in a situation where you did, would you feel confident in your ability to defend yourself?

I don't want to make you feel worse, but you've got to take care of yourself and sometimes it means taking some time off so you can get treated. I'll keep you in my prayers and hope you recover quickly, but take care of yourself!

Hi Girl,

I work for 8 hours a day, Monday - Friday and then i work at home Monday - Sunday, My actual pay work is my relaxing work, it's busy but i can sit and shoot the pooh when needed, my actual work is when i get home, the laundry, bathtime with my little girl, clearing away the house. I sit when she goes to bed, IT don't stop.  When i feel good ,i do what I can because i feel good about my accomplishments. When i don't feel good, it can rot on the floor or my Husband can do it..  Right now i feel good, even though I still have the tingles in my legs, feet and hands and so on but it's not enough to stop me from doing my daily things. I just keep doing it, I push and i push.  I just got back from a 1100 meter walk and now i feel great.  I think because no one at my work knows about my MS, i have to keep up the good appearance.. I think this helps me alot!!  I guess you do what you have to do.

I just know when i feel like ****, all i want to do is sleep and relax..

I hope you feel better soon.
