Foot Drop-EMG

What would be the cause of Foot Drop if the EMG is Normal?

I agree with Kyle and a good neuro would tell you that.  My EMG was done by a neuro.  I will ditto again, we are just patients and we don't have enough information to even go near "brain damage" which is a big area with tons of sub definitions!  

What has your doctor told you who ordered the EMG?  Mine was very frank with what he thought might be causing it.

Hi FD - Welcome to the group.

I'm not a doc, but it seems to me that EMG's are a way of checking for problems in peripheral nerves. MS is a disease of the central nervous system (CNS) and can cause foot drop.

Maybe some of our more informed friends will chime in :-)
