I don't know that i have MS

Hello, i am max 15 years old. I want to talk about a problem that i had the last months. First i want to talk about my legs and arms, they are often cold and don't warm up easy. I can still feel my hand when i put it on my leg or arm. Sometimes i have an annoying pain in my leg that feels like a clot of blood, it stays for about 15 minutes. But the biggest problem is my back. When i walk for about 30 minutes i get a burning feeling in the lower side of my spine, it gives me pain that i want to sit. When i sit down the pain goes slowly away. Another problem in my back is the area of my spine, when i touch the flesh above my spine, then i barely feel something. I can pinch myself there without feeling pain. I still feel something but it isn't pain. Something else that i have often in my back is when i bend forward facing down, then i get often the feeling of nerves that come loose. I don't know that this is MS but i think it is. Please let me know what you think it is because i am not sure of it. I didn't tell anybody something about this problem that i have, i only told my mom of the burn feeling in my back. She doesn't know about my nerves and death feeling flesh.

Sorry for my bad english, it isn't that good because i live in Belgium

Thank you all for your opinions. All these answers already gave me less stress. Somethings that i read about MS are really serious subjects. I hope that the tests give a good result and that i don't have it. It's terrible for people who have MS. Thanks for helping me out!

Hi and welcome,

Due to your age it is important that you do speak to your mum about what you are experiencing, but i honestly don't think you need worry that it is MS though, mainly because what you are describing is 'more likely' related to the peripheral nerves in your spine than MS eg Sciatica causes lower back and leg pain/numbness, growth development, pinched nerve, minor injury ie sports, postural ie gaming, smart phone, long sitting study hours etc

Let your mum know that the "burn feeling" in your back you told her about has gotten worse and that your lower back and leg is causing you a lot of pain just walking now, i'm sure she'll genuinely want to help you....

Cheers.........JJ

Hi Max,

What you describe doesn't really sound like MS to me, though I am not a doctor.
As said above, as a Mum of a 16 yr old I would hope my daughter would tell me about this if she were in your shoes so that I could help. It really is what us Mums do best, we love our children and would do anything to make sure they are safe and well.

Hello Max :)

My heart goes out to you as you talk about "dead flesh" feeling, and any pain you experience!  It really sounds like you have a lot more going on than what you have told your mom thus far. As a mom myself, I would be upset and worried sick if my daughter was in pain this much and didn't tell me everything !!
Why not tell her so she can do what mom's do best....take care of you.  Give her a chance to take you to the doctor so they can better evaluate what exactly is going on for you!  Praying for a great outcome !
