Had 2nd appointment with neuro yesterday

Hi all

Just to let u know how I got on with my neuro yesterday. He said all my blood tests had come back clear. But because I now have a problem with my right arm which now feels heavy like been carry a bag of shopping round all day, he said this was a second attack as before all my problems were from the waist down.

He said he was almost sure this could now be treated as MS and just wanted to do that eye test thing (not sure of name of it) and maybe a LP but wasnt sure that was needed or not, before started me on med.

Have to say he was lovely and spoke to me like a real person and looked me in eye when talking to me.  Unlike first neuro who keep his head looking down and doodling lol

I guess my feelings now are one of relief that someone if finaly taking me serious and not thinking it all in my head!!

Hi there... I'm glad you found a Neuro that will listen to you and gave you some answers. I'm also glad you don't need to have a LP.. when do you see him again to find out which treatment you will be on?  

will you be having a VEP test or seeing a NeuroOpthomologist for testing?

neuro secretary just phone today to say I didnt have to have the LP and she didnt want me worrying about it. How thoughtful was that :-)

Congrats on finding a  good Neuro. I hope that he is the one that can  you feel better! Keep us updated!

That's great.  It's wonderful to get a good doctor who's really listening to you.  Hopefully he won't find it necessary to do the LP!
